Designed by Matteo Zorzenoni for Carpanese Home, Grafts is a compact coffee table in which the shaped contours of the tabletop reveal the structure of the leg, redefining the architecture of contemporary furniture through the biological concept of grafting. Defined by the contrast between the porous texture of hand-crafted solid wood and the cool perfection of glossy lacquered wood surfaces or vibrant mirrored ceramic slabs, Grafts transforms design into a form of artisanal morphosis in which each element evolves into the next, creating a unique and dynamic furniture piece. Entirely crafted using artisanal techniques, Grafts is part of a wider collection of consoles and coffee tables conceived not as simple surfaces, but as sculptural presences capable of interacting with light and architecture, celebrating the luxury of exceptional craftsmanship.
